Annotation | This paper is one of a series designed to enable comparisons to be made about the level and style of services for older people in different parts of the world. Through the World Health Organization (WHO), the author asked for similar studies to be undertaken in other countries to facilitate comparison of services in different parts of the world. This resulted in the Small Area Planning for the Elderly Project, with a number of countries preparing reports on services for older people in a town or local area in their country (Small area planning for the elderly, by Muriel Skeet, WHO, 1989). |
