Annotation | This review sets out to establish the current state of commissioning, purchasing and delivery of services for elderly people, and to suggest ways of improving them. It looks at arrangements for assessment of older people at points of transition in meeting their healthcare needs. A series of checklists attempts to summarise concepts presented in the report. A summary of the conclusions and recommendations made by the House of Commons Health Committee in its report, "Long-term care: future provision and funding" (3rd report, session 1995/96) is included as an Annex. |
