Annotation | In this survey of unmet needs among family carers in the state of Victoria, Australia, 93% recommended new services; 73% recommended increased range of services; and 41% extensions to services. Respite care, aids and paramedical services were the most commonly requested forms of provision. A preventative programme of needs assessment for family carers has considerable potential in identifying needs and engaging new services, and providing emotional support. |
