Annotation | René MacKay campaigns for better services for older people, runs local pensioners' groups and provides hands-on care for friends in need. She set up Camden Council's Vulnerable Older People's Steering Group, after hearing of old people discharged from hospital whose cases were not followed up by social services, and of people dying alone only being found some time later. She calls for an improved home help service, and for central government to allocate money for community care in the home. |
