| Annotation | A revolution is occurring in information exchange among gerontologists worldwide, as increasing ease of access to public use data sets make research training and exchange of evidence possible. This article gives a brief history of the development of data sets for research on ageing, and describes those of particular interest. While the focus is on experience in the United States, the implications for these developments for training and communication among gerontologists worldwide are noted. |
