AnnotationThis publication results from a study undertaken by the French national Federation of Clubs for the Rural Elderly, COPA (Committee of agricultural trade organisations in the European Union) and the Mutualité Sociale Agricole (the social security body for the French farming community), with financial support from the European Commission Directorate-General for Employment, Industrial Relations and Social Affairs. For each European Union country, it provides information on older people living in rural areas, and on national, regional and local NGOs (non-governmental organisations) dealing with rural older people issues.
