Annotation | This study examined the relationship between nutritional status and lifestyle in people aged 65 and over in a small urban community in Kingston, Jamaica. Through interviews and questionnaires, data was collected on demographic and living conditions; socio-economic conditions; dietary habits; physical exercise; self-reported health status; and health service use. Physical examinations, including collection of blood samples, were also carried out. Results revealed that obesity, rather than under-nutrition, was a problem in the study population. |
