Annotation | This paper presents a profile of the Filipino elderly population, using data from the 1990 census and official statistics on life expectancy. It looks at the status and welfare of older people within the family context, and studies how social change might affect family relationships. It also examines attitudes of the younger generation as the eventual older population of the Philippines, to assess their future as older people. |
