Annotation | This paper - which draws on a research study conducted by the author - examines the contribution of social work practice to the care of people who are dying and bereaved. It considers current challenges to traditional practice arising from societal and organisational change, and reaffirms the importance of the social work role. The author argues that, to face such challenges, social workers should incorporate a spiritual dimension in their holistic care of the dying or bereaved. |
