AnnotationThe Occupational Pensions Board (OPB) was established under the Social Security Act 1973, with new functions arising from the Social Security Pensions Act 1975, and was superseded by the Occupational Pensions Regulatory Authority (OPRA) in April 1997. The main functions of the OPB were to operate the procedures for contracting out of the State Earnings-Related pension Scheme (SERPS). This final report charts the development and the work of the OPB. (AKM).
