Annotation | This article reports on experiments which examined the ability of younger and older adults to selectively process moving items and ignore stationary items in a task that required search for a target defined by a conjunction of movement and form. The authors also examined the influence of practice on feature and conjunction search: younger and older adults searched displays at similar rates, and they also benefited equally from practice. Results suggest that the movement filter is relatively insensitive to ageing. |
