AnnotationThis report presents the findings of a survey of private sector organisations in Great Britain. The survey aimed to identify: which employers made some form of pension provision for their employees and which did not; employers' motives in providing or not providing pensions; which types of pension were provided and to which groups of employees they were available; how pensions were financed and what benefits were accorded; and what had been the influence on employers' policy and practice in pension provision of recent changes in the legal, economic and demographic environment. The report includes information on the survey method and questionnaires.
