Annotation | This paper outlines the uses to which performance indicators have been put elsewhere in the NHS (National Health Service), and argues that they are unlikely to be directly transferable to health promotion. Criteria for successful performance indicators in health promotion are outlined. However, there are many different views as to what constitutes appropriate outcome or performance measures for health promotion. The paper suggests, instead, that there is scope for performance indicators to be used for monitoring of health-related targets. |
