Annotation | This report examines how the Welsh Consumer Council, Disability Wales and others worked with users and carers to assess the adequacy of current social and community care information services. Five main themes were identified as being of central concern, for government and local authorities to consider: a statutory duty to provide social and community care information; consulting with users and carers in planning and provision of services; an unmet need for provision of information to do with 'life' and sharing experiences; liaison with independent agencies, to provide impartial information and advice; and adopting a professional approach to planning for information provision. |
