AnnotationThis report, on the second Health Education Monitoring Survey (HEMS), presents information on the health-related knowledge, attitudes and behaviour of adults aged 16-74 living in private households in England. Using simple summaries, charts and tables, topics covered include: prevalence of smoking and giving up smoking; alcohol consumption and knowledge of alcohol units; attitudes to and participation in physical activity; knowledge of how to achieve a healthier diet and eating habits; drug use and attitudes to drugs; sexual behaviour and attitudes towards using condoms; and sunburn, use of suncreams and attitudes towards having a suntan.
