Annotation | Head and neck (upper aerodigestive tract - UAT) cancers present unique challenges to patients, their families and the professionals who manage these conditions. These cancers and their treatment can result in multiple disability and have a greater impact on patients and families than other cancers. The aim of this study, which used focus group interviews, was to develop an insight into the patient, carer and professional perspectives of the treatment, to better meet the needs of this client group. It highlights many examples of good and bad practice, and suggests ways in which services could be made more patient-focused. |
