Annotation | This book offers a comprehensive review of the situation faced by homeless people in relation to their health and welfare needs, and describes the extent and type of provision currently available to them. Based on extensive research, including interviews with homeless people themselves, the study provides analysis and conclusions which are relevant to any large urban centre. It argues the case for special services designed to help homeless people and their health needs. It calls for collaboration between health, housing and social care agencies in developing services and in combatting the root causes of homelessness itself. |
