Annotation | This report examines why the Church has played such a big part in providing services to people with dementia living in the community. It focuses on the work of Christian churches in Scotland, from practical, theoretical and policy perspectives. It examines what makes the contribution of the church distinctive, its involvement in the light of changing government policies, and examples of day care provision illustrate this involvement. A final chapter suggests how individual churches and church members might be more actively involved in providing support to people with dementia in the community. |
