AnnotationThis short report (conducted with the support of the Joseph Rowntree Foundation - JRF) summarises some of the key findings from an investigation into patterns of residential mobility in relation to social housing in England derived from a secondary analysis of the 1993/94 Survey of English Housing. It examines patterns of residential mobility amongst continuing households within the social rented sector, between the owner occupied and social rented sectors, and between the private rented and social rented sectors. It also considers some of the characteristics of new households entering the social rented sector.
