Annotation	This inspection evaluated arrangements and services provided or purchased by eight local authorities to maintain older people with dementia in the community, including home support, day care and short term breaks. The inspection also included independent sector provision and collaborative arrangements with health professionals. Findings are presented on: service delivery; strategies and planning issues; assessment and care planning; monitoring and review; assessment and management of risk taking; protection from abuse; and equality of opportunity.
