Annotation | This report explains the background to Age Concern's campaign on accessible housing, and the findings of a visit to the 1997 Ideal Home Exhibition by three older people. Some fundamental problems were found in the homes tested, most of which could have been avoided at little or no cost if they had been thought about when the homes were designed and built. The report includes Age Concern's ten point checklist of features which should be included in the building of all new housing. |
