Journal title | International Journal of Geriatric Psychiatry, vol 11, no 11, November 1996 |
Pages | pp 1001-1003 |
Keywords | Dementia ; The Family ; Geriatric out-patients clinics ; Diagnosis. |
Annotation | In order to understand better how much information is shared with people who are diagnosed with dementia, a questionnaire was sent to 20 memory disorder clinics in England, Scotland and Eire. The authors report their findings as to whether clinics had a policy for sharing diagnosis, how they did this, what terminology was used, and what support services were available afterwards. |
