Annotation | Elderly people are at risk from a variety of psychological problems that may impair their ability to drive safely. With the increasing numbers of older drivers on our roads, it is important that clinicians are able to advise patients about their fitness to drive. The regulations regarding medical fitness to drive in the United Kingdom have recently been changed, bringing them into line with those of the European Community. This article outlines the regulations regarding fitness to drive for mentally ill older people. |
