AnnotationThis evaluation sought frail older people to become involved in panel meetings and articulate their views on health and social care services provision. Those who participated benefited from and wished to continue their involvement in such panels. Recommendations on panels' influence on service plans and provisions included: heightening the awareness of service planners and providers on the Panel's aims and objectives; and highlighting elements of good practice as well as the gaps in service provision. The evaluation provided evidence supporting the Project's continuation: statutory agencies and service providers need to learn ways of working directly with older people.
