Annotation | This study examined the concurrent and predictive validity of the Clinical Dementia Rating (CDR) scale on summary scores and scores on the memory and orientation components, using cross-sectional, longitudinal and survival information on 434 community-resident probable Alzheimer's disease (AD) patients, entered into the Consortium to Establish a Registry for Alzheimer's Disease (CERAD). The CDR orientation score correlated substantially with an independent measure of orientation; but memory correlation was poorer with an independent measure than with any other neuropsychology measure. |
