A simple program to train case managers in community elderly care | Author(s) | F Landi, A Sgadari, L Cipriani, M Castellani |
Journal title | Aging: Clinical and Experimental Research, vol 8, no 3, June 1996 |
Pages | pp 211-218 |
Keywords | Social workers ; Case work ; Community care ; Short term training ; Italy ; Canada ; United States of America. |
Annotation | In Italy, the case manager does not not have a defined curriculum. The authors consider that the principal requisite for case managers is a proficient knowledge of care for elderly people. A four-week teaching course for future case managers focused on the National Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) of the United States, and the Long-Term Care Program Application and Admission form of British Columbia, Canada. This should provide students with adequate skills. |
