Annotation | Data from the Labour Force Survey shows that long-term unemployment is heavily concentrated among the older jobless, with fewer people aged 50 and over being economically active. Reference is made to a Private Member's Bill, the Employment (Upper Age in Advertisements) Bill, which sought to make it illegal for job advertisements to specify a preferred age range. |
