Annotation | Taking a sample of 32 stroke patients and their carers as representative of people suddenly and unexpectedly needing care services, the authors examine people's awareness of the notions of assessment and care management. They look at their relationship with professional care organisers, the ways in which they themselves go about organising care, who they expect to provide care, and how easy they find mixing different kinds of care from a range of different sources - from the private sector to members of their family. |
