| Annotation | Psychological treatment of depression in older people has recently benefited from the development of the cognitive approach. In this article (in French), the authors demonstrate this type of psychotherapy in the case of a 79 year old depressive woman at their Cognitive Therapy Unit for Elderly in Geneva, Switzerland. The therapeutic setting, content of sessions, techniques used, and the changes that occurred are described - which proved beneficial to the patient and rewarding for the therapist. |
