Annotation | The Global Burden of Disease (GBD) analysis was developed by the World Bank for the World development report 1993. This volume presents demographic and epidemiological tables for 1990, by eight geographic regions based on criteria such as level of socio-economic development and epidemiological homogeneity used in that report: Established Market Economies; formerly socialist economies of Europe; India; China; other Asia and islands; Middle Eastern Crescent (which includes North Africa, the Middle East, Pakistan, and Central Asian republics of the former Soviet Union), and sub-Saharan Africa. |
