AnnotationA sample of 103 home care aides completed Palmore's Facts on Aging Quiz 1 (FAQ1) prior to a one-hour educational programme and his Facts on Aging Quiz 2 (FAQ2) at the end of the session. There was a significant increase in correct scores showing the positive effects of the training. Frequent misconceptions were identified on 11 FAQ1 items and 3 FAQ2 items. The age bias measure decreased, but the resulting net score indicated a net anti-age bias score. A follow-up discussion group was held to identify areas for future education programming.
