Annotation | Services for different client groups have been affected in somewhat different ways by the implementation of the NHS and Community Care Act 1990. Those working with mainly with people with learning disability had the smallest case loads, were most likely to be involved in service development work, and their stress levels were much the same or had decreased. In contrast, those working mainly with EMI (elderly mentally ill) service users reported increased case loads, decreased client contact, and experienced high stress levels. |
