Annotation | The Caring for People who Live at Home Initiative was launched in November 1992, with the aim of stimulating provision of day and domiciliary care services by the independent sector, and was funded until September 1995 by the Department of Health (DoH). This brochure gives details of the 15 local authorities selected to develop innovative schemes. These ranged from flexible respite services, to development of multi-purpose support systems for people living in rural areas, to the establishment of independent sector services for ethnic minority communities in inner city areas. |
