Annotation | Despite having been the focus of much attention since the early days of the community care reforms, hospital discharge is still an area which needs improvement and better co-ordination between agencies. This article reviews recent research and publications on the views of users and carers, admissions to hospital, experiences of hospital, the loss of independence, leaving hospital, independence in the aftermath of discharge, and changes in needs. |
