AnnotationTenant participation is often promoted by social housing providers, but the voices of tenants themselves are often missing from the accounts of the subject. This is especially the case when it comes to older people in sheltered housing. This study focused especially on the subject of tenant participation in sheltered housing from the point of older people themselves. Part one is based on qualitative and quantitative research carried out in 1995 with older people living in Anchor sheltered housing. It demonstrates that there are important issues that affect the way older people perceive and respond to participation initiatives. (AKM).
