Annotation | Reports the results of an empirical study of elderly Soviet Jews who immigrated to Israel in the great exodus of 1989 to 1991. The pre-immigration networks of the elderly Soviet Jewish immigrants who serve as the focus of this inquiry are mapped, analysed and contrasted with the post-immigration networks they maintain in Israel. Particular attention is given to identification of characteristic network shifts, and the relationship of such network changes to measures of well-being among the study population. |
