Annotation | Research carried out by Age Concern Scotland and the Edinburgh Association for Mental Health looked at the publicly stated policies of Scottish social work and housing authorities, in relation to their work with older people with a serious mental health problem. Many are accommodated in long-stay psychiatric wards and homeless persons hostels. The study found that few community care plans considered the special needs of this group, or how they might be provided with more suitable housing. |
