Annotation | Describes the participation and behaviour of people with mid-stage dementia during therapeutic activities. Self-revelation and spontaneity were associated more with less structured activities; enthusiastic and structured leader behaviour was associated with keeping people actively participating and with positive effect and behaviours. These observations provide a partial and incomplete description of such activity: research is needed to determine the most beneficial interventions to treat specific needs. |
