AnnotationThis article presents findings from an interview study of women aged 29-75, which examined why they chose to have cosmetic surgery, and explored how age differentiated women's attitudes toward their bodies. It suggests a link between the idealised media images of women and the evolution of cosmetic surgery as commonplace in Western culture.
