AnnotationReports on a cross-sectional study which examined the relationship between the use of sensory aids and the quality of life and mortality of older people suffering from sensory deprivation. It found that an uncorrected sensory deprivation was associated with impairment of mood, self-sufficiency, activities of daily living, and social relationships.
