Annotation | Presents findings and recommendations from a project which examined the responses of local authorities in England and Wales to the growing problem of poverty. The research was based upon case study analysis of the anti-poverty strategies and activities of a representative sample of 15 local authorities in England and Wales, supplemented by pilot studies of 2 others. Research commissioned by the Local Government Management Board (LGMB) and carried out by the Centre for Regional Economic and Social Research (CRESR), Sheffield Hallam University and School for Policy Studies, University of Humberside. |
