AnnotationThis information booklet deals with the relevance and consequences of part-time work for women, both from the perspective of the worker and that of the employer. The main source of information is an interview-based survey of over 6,000 managers and employee representatives on experiences and expectations with part-time work at the level of their establishment. The survey was carried out by the European Foundation in 1989-1991, and represents the collective experience of all those interviewed in eight European Union countries: Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Spain, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.
