Annotation | Regional Trends is a description of the regions of the United Kingdom. In the various chapters it looks at most aspects of life, providing data of a demographic, social and economic nature. The chapters fall broadly into four sections: regional profiles, the European Union, main topic areas - population/migration; education/training; labour; housing; health and care; income/lifestyle; crime/justice; transport; environment; regional accounts (GDP); industry/agriculture; and sub-regional statistics. Comparison of data is aided by tables, maps and charts. From 2010, this journal will be available only online from the ONS website, unless specifically subscribed to from a licensed seller of ONS publications or Palgrave Macmillan, the ONS publishing partner.
