Annotation | Following suggestions that collaboration between orthopaedic surgeons and physicians in geriatric medicine could reduce length of a patients' hospital stay, this experiment aimed to determine the effectiveness of this type of post-operative management in shortening stay, increasing independence at discharge, reducing the level of care needed at discharge and the impact on morbidity and mortality. |
