Annotation | Transportation and fall related injuries were identified as responsible for most elderly admissions and the costs associated with treatment were disproportionately high for the older age group studied, mainly because of their increased length of stay. Suggestions are made as to how accident prevention policy can be implemented in order to reduce costs of injury care for the elderly. |
