Journal title | Australian Journal on Ageing, vol 13, no 1, February 1994 |
Pages | pp 17-21 |
Keywords | Drugs ; Admission [hospitals] ; Research ; Australia. |
Annotation | An unacceptably high proportion of patients is admitted to hospital with drug related problems, (DRP), particularly adverse drug reactions, (ADR). These constitute a waste of resources and cause unnecessary physical and mental stress to patients and carers. This indicated the need for improvements to the education of doctors. |
