Annotation | A comparison between hospital information leaflets and outside publications in terms of clarity of language, layout, style of print and use of illustrations. Only 12 (17%) of the leaflets assessed for readability met the Royal National Institute for the Blind (RNIB) recommendations on size of typeface. Many were also likely to be incomprehensible, particularly to older patients. (RH). |
