Annotation | The Institute of Personnel Management (IPM) is committed to the development of equal opportunities in employment. The Institute believes that the use of age criteria in employment decision-making is unfairly discriminatory and harmful to both individuals and organisations. This IPM statement sets out a number of recommendations to prevent the use of age and age bands in employment, and to encourage personnel policies and practices which lead to the productive employment of people, irrespective of age.
