AnnotationThe Vienna International Plan of Action on Aging was adopted by the World Assembly on Aging held in Vienna from 26 July to 6 August 1982. It makes recommendations for action on a range of humanitarian and developmental aspects of ageing: health and nutrition; protection of older consumers; housing and environment; family; social welfare; income security and employment; and education. Recommendations are made regarding the role of governments and international and regional co-operation for implementation. (RH).
