| Annotation | This study was undertaken by the Department of Social Science, University of Liverpool, in a large Liverpool manufacturing firm. Part 1 describes the examination of employment records of 200 employed men from the age of 45, and investigates their attitudes towards retirement. Part 2 reports on how those who had retired in the two following years were adjusting to their retirement, and in particular whether they had sought or obtained other work. |
